NICE TO MEET YOU.

You can call me Tan (pronounced TA-HN).

I taught myself design on the very first computer I got when I was 13 years old. That early passion led me to a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and over ten years of design experience across various industries, channels, and forms of media. Now, I'm a jack of all trades on a mission to fill the world with my creations - from branding and invitations to the furniture I design, build, and flip - while, most importantly, making people happy during the process.

Learn more about me and my work.

I believe a robust technical skill set, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and efficient team collaboration are all essential components to success in creative design. With a background in freelance design, I understand the importance of brand consistency and following brand guidelines. I am naturally driven to create, both at work and in life, and have a knack for balancing multiple projects. As a graphic designer and marketing enthusiast, I excel at:

  • Designing digital and physical collateral for use across channels
  • Social media (paid and organic) and website design
  • Event design and print production
  • Photography and photo image editing
  • Branding and logo design
  • Project prioritization, time management, and organization
  • Video production and editing

I design with the target audience in mind, collaborating closely with leaders and team members to achieve strategic goals. Working in a variety of industries has provided me the opportunity to further develop my knowledge and skills while experiencing a range of projects, including:

  • Creating package design for Tuscan Brands that captured their authenticity and commitment to quality, enhancing its brand image and delighting customers with each product purchase.
  • Increasing turnaround rates for the Craft Brewers Guild graphics department from 20% to 90% and contributing to a $10,000 year over year increase in quarterly sales.
  • Leading a complete rebrand for Vinfen, including a new logo and colors, refreshed marketing collateral, and a new 300-page website.
  • Driving the vision, strategy, management, and execution of creative projects across channels as the sole graphic designer at Vinfen, a multi-million dollar nonprofit.
  • Creating marketing materials and informational graphics for educational startups, Edmit and Extension Engine, to increase their online and physical presence.
